The exhibition 'People Ruin Paintings' offers an overview of John Robinson's (UK) practice at the intersection of painting and performance: completed paintings that arise from earlier actions are shown alongside traces, props, and staged situations that will produce future works during the course of the exhibition.

Curated by Hanna Ouaziz, the exhibition maps the entire ecosystem of his creative connections — what happens, what remains, and what is transformed into image.

Robinson's presence constantly haunts the spaces. Remnants of previous actions serve as memories that never fully align, while performance stages remain as charged objects — less scenography than evidence — that force us into the oldest contract in art: trust. Do we trust the artist? Do we trust what he has left behind?
