In the etching, where the pencil drawing seamlessly extends from the soft-ground imprint, Ingrid explores ‘De Volkstribune’ as a symbol of Flemish village life. The work plays with the transition between structure and landscape, where familiar forms and details fade into a new perspective.

The composition reflects a fascination with small, often overlooked elements of the everyday, and invites a renewed way of looking. INSTITUTE Technical drawing ‘dada disco’: Graphite, ink, and marker on paper. The drawing is part of a series about DADA, named DADADA, an investigation into the contemporary spirit of DADA. Because does the romantic, funny, and crazy Avant-garde still live on?

Ingrid Raymaekers took part in the group exhibition (expo)nentieel at DeNode (2024–2025, curator Hilde Van Canneyt).
