“In addition to paintings, I also make drawings. Often these are sketches as a preparation for a painting. Since last year, however, my works on paper have truly become part of my oeuvre. I work intuitively, usually with watercolor, bister ink, Ecoline ink, sometimes combined with pencil. The works are layered and mysterious.
One sees organic-looking shapes, entities, somewhere in that fluid area between abstraction and figuration.”
