Merel Van de Casteele

°1995 · artist

The artist is working on a two-part body of work consisting on the one hand of sculptures and on the other of drawings. The work revolves around a mental lexicon of a visual language she tries to understand more fully. The drawing Toren en Lam (Tower and Lamb) was made for the series “Drawings for Ovid,” in which endless transformations are explored through drawing.

Merel Van de Casteele took part in the group exhibition (expo)nentieel at DeNode (2024–2025, curator Hilde Van Canneyt).
