Pàpoo Thibau

°1999 · artist

Pàpoo Thibau is a draughtswoman and painter whose work often lies at the intersection of installations and two-dimensional drawings. The depiction of her atmospheric world shows traces of medieval religious art and 20th-century design, as well as a highly personal archive and associations drawn from her own experiences. Each sensory stimulus in a space, she believes, carries a history of associations.

Thus, every object tells a story and holds value for the person who placed it there. In her work, Pàpoo Thibau intuitively seeks a second universe in which her work lives.

Pàpoo Thibau took part in the group exhibition (expo)nentieel at DeNode (2024–2025, curator Hilde Van Canneyt).
