Yi Zhang (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist working with painting, video, site-specific installations, and socio-political research. Her in-situ approach involves using seemingly simple, everyday materials from her immediate surroundings—think hair, dust, stains, and traces—to evoke embodied memories and explore the connections between personal history, identity, and ecology.
