We warmly invite you to the vernissage of

VESTIGES brings together the work of Chantal Pollier and Guillaume Van Moerkercke in a quiet dialogue between stone and shadow.

Pollier sculpts stone as if it is alive: bodies become landscapes, skin becomes a memory of scars and traces. Her sculptures balance on the edge of appearing and fading, like archaeological finds from a distant future.

Van Moerkercke draws with charcoal – rough, black, dusty – both marking and erasing. His images are slow excavations, apparitions that emerge and disappear like dreams. The black in his work is not emptiness, but a source: a space in which forgotten forms gently resurface.

Both artists delve into the material as one digs up memories. Their work invites slowing down, attentive looking, and cherishing what remains.

Vestiges is an exhibition about time and about that which resists oblivion – about the beauty of the trace, the remnant, the fleeting moment that refuses to be lost.
